The Department of Elections in San Francisco has released its 10th preliminary report on the results of the November 5, 2024, Consolidated General Election. The latest update includes 6,466 vote-by-mail and provisional ballots counted since the previous report issued on November 11.

These ballots represent the processing of approximately 25,864 cards, as each voter received a ballot comprised of four cards. Since November 6, over 153,000 ballots have been processed, equating to about 612,000 cards.

The department still needs to process around 18,200 ballots. This estimate consists of approximately 3,700 vote-by-mail ballots and about 14,500 provisional ballots cast at polling places and the City Hall Voting Center.

Ballot processing will continue until 5 p.m. today and resume from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, November 13. The public can observe this process in person or via livestream at sfelections.org/observe.

The next release of preliminary results and an updated estimate of remaining ballots is scheduled for Wednesday, November 13 at 4 p.m., with details available at www.sfelections.gov/results.

Director John Arntz will be available for questions from the public and media outside Room 48 in City Hall when results reports are issued.
