San Francisco's newest public park, Panorama Park, was officially opened on Yerba Buena Island by Mayor London N. The park is part of the ongoing revitalization of the former naval base at Treasure Island and Yerba Buena Island. Once completed, the project will feature 8,000 new homes; 300 acres of parks, trails and open spaces; new restaurants and shops; a school and library; as well as world-class public art installations.
