San Francisco's first inspector general to host town hall meeting

The Office of the Inspector General (OIG) will host a town hall meeting on Friday, September 13, 2024, at 5:30 PM. The event will take place at 2929 19th Street, San Francisco, CA 94110.

This meeting provides an opportunity to meet Terry Wiley, San Francisco’s inaugural Inspector General. Established by voters in 2020, the OIG is responsible for providing independent oversight of the Sheriff's Office.

The mission of the OIG is to promote honesty, integrity, and accountability within the San Francisco Sheriff’s Office by conducting independent and thorough oversight. The office focuses on safeguarding the rights and well-being of all individuals in the Sheriff’s custody by ensuring that staff complies with all laws, regulations, and policies. It aims to enhance public trust through fair and impartial investigations.
