The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) in San Francisco is seeking public assistance to identify a deceased woman who passed away on December 15, 2024. The decedent is described as a white female, around 50 years old, with brown hair and eyes. She was found at 241 Jones Street, between Eddy and Turk streets, measuring 4 feet 9 inches tall and weighing 147 pounds. Her legs were wrapped in multiple bandages.
On the day of her discovery, the San Francisco Fire Department responded to a report of a woman lying in front of the specified address. Emergency services transported her to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead. The cause and manner of death remain under investigation.
Typically, the OCME employs various investigatory methods for identification purposes, such as checking government-issued identification cards, fingerprint analysis, witness interviews, or DNA testing. In most cases, they achieve positive identification within 24 hours. However, this case remains unresolved despite these efforts.
A sketch artist from the San Francisco Police Department has produced a drawing of the decedent to aid in identification efforts. Anyone with information regarding her identity is urged to contact the OCME Investigative Division at 415-641-2220 or via email at OCME.INV@SFGOV.ORG or OCME@SFGOV.ORG. Please reference OCME Case Number 2024-1537.
