The Department of Elections in San Francisco has released its 13th preliminary election results report for the November 5, 2024, Consolidated General Election. This update includes the counting of an additional 6,923 vote-by-mail and provisional ballots since the last report on November 14.

Currently, approximately 9,600 ballots remain unprocessed. This number comprises around 1,100 vote-by-mail ballots and about 8,500 provisional ballots cast at polling places and the City Hall Voting Center. The unprocessed count also now includes roughly 330 additional ballots reviewed and approved for processing since yesterday's report. These include approximately 30 faxed vote-by-mail ballots from overseas voters, around 300 vote-by-mail ballots requiring manual review, and about 300 conditional voter registration ballots cast in City Hall.

Ballot processing will continue until 5 p.m. today. On Saturday, November 16, the process will resume from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with public observation available both in-person and via livestream at sfelections.org/observe.

The next release of preliminary results reports is scheduled for Saturday, November 16 at 4 p.m., with updates posted at www.sfelections.gov/results.

Director John Arntz will be present to address questions from the public and media outside Room 48 in City Hall when results reports are issued.
