The San Francisco Department of Elections has announced the opening of its Voting Center at City Hall on October 7. This facility will be available to voters for the upcoming election scheduled for November 5.

According to the department, the Voting Center will operate from Monday, October 7, through Monday, November 4, with daily hours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., excluding Indigenous Peoples’ Day on October 14. The center will also be open on weekends—October 26-27 and November 2-3—from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. On Election Day, November 5, it will follow extended hours from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., aligning with the city’s local polling places.

John Arntz, Director of the Department of Elections, emphasized that "the City Hall Voting Center, like all polling places in San Francisco, is designed to assist voters with a range of needs." Eligible residents can register or update their voter registration and vote using paper, touchscreen, or audio methods. The center also offers curbside voting assistance via phone or by sending someone inside.

Voters have language support options as well; ballots are available in English and either Chinese, Filipino, or Spanish. Reference ballots can be accessed in Burmese, Japanese, Korean, Thai, and Vietnamese. Additionally, assistance in hundreds of languages will be provided.

To promote civic engagement among voters and non-voters alike, several photo stations featuring San Francisco’s “I Voted!” sticker will be set up at the center. Voters are encouraged to take selfies and share their participation on social media. Young visitors can join in by posing with an “I Am a Future Voter” sign.
