Department of Elections Issues Preliminary Results Report #13 for the March 5, 2024, Presidential Primary Election

The Department of Elections in the City and County of San Francisco released its 13th preliminary election results report today for the votes cast in the March 5, 2024, Consolidated Presidential Primary Election.

In a statement today, the Department announced, "Today’s preliminary results report is comprised of ballots that required manual review or voters’ actions to cure. Today is also the deadline for voters to cure ballots since the Department expects to certify the election on Friday, March 22."

Director John Arntz of the Department of Elections will be available to respond to questions from members of the public and the media outside of Room 48 in City Hall when the preliminary results reports are issued.

The Department also mentioned that since voters can cure ballots until the end of the day, any additional cured ballots will be processed, and the next results report will be issued tomorrow, March 21.

Ballot processing is open to public observation both in-person and via livestream at sfelections.org/observe.

The certification of the election is scheduled for Friday, March 22, as the Department of Elections continues to work diligently to finalize the results for the Consolidated Presidential Primary Election held on March 5, 2024.
