The Department of Elections Provides Update on Preliminary Results and Remaining Ballots for March 5, 2024 Presidential Primary Election

The Department of Elections in the City and County of San Francisco has released its 11th preliminary election results report for the March 5, 2024, Consolidated Presidential Primary Election. According to the Department of Elections, "Today, the Department of Elections issued the 11th preliminary election results reports of votes cast in the March 5, 2024, Consolidated Presidential Primary Election."

In the latest update, the Department revealed that there are still approximately 3,240 ballots left to be processed and counted. The Department stated, "The Department must still process and count approximately 3,240 ballots." Department personnel are working diligently to process these remaining ballots and will continue their efforts until 5 p.m. today. As mentioned by the Department, "Department personnel will process ballots until 5 p.m. today."

Director John Arntz will be available to address any inquiries from the public and the media regarding the preliminary results reports. The Department stated, "When the Department issues preliminary results reports, Director John Arntz will be available to respond to questions from members of the public and the media outside of Room 48 in City Hall."

The ballot processing schedule includes weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and the public can observe the process in-person or via livestream at sfelections.org/observe. The Department will be closed on Saturday and Sunday, March 16 and 17, and will not be issuing preliminary results reports or unprocessed ballot reports during this time.
