Cost of college went down for all students at the FIDM-Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising-San Francisco

Tuition and fees fell 0.1 percent for 2018-19 at the FIDM-Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising-San Francisco, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

California students paid $32,293 to attend the four-year private for-profit institution in both the 2017-18 and 2018-19 academic years.

Data shows 89 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 33 students received grants or scholarships totaling $303,420 and 33 students took out student loans totaling more than $247,140.

Including all undergraduates (218), 164 students used grants or scholarships totaling $1.3 million, and 174 students took out $1.5 million in federal student loans.
