On Saturday, March 7, Kate Kennedy, a former San Francisco University High School standout, helped her college team, the Washington and Lee Generals, secure a 61-55 victory over the Christopher Newport Captains in the NCAA Division III Basketball Tournament.
The matchup kicked off at 8 p.m. at Holekamp Gym and marked the teams’ first meeting in the tournament.
Washington and Lee’s next game is set for Friday, March 13 at 8 p.m., again at Holekamp Gym.
