Salesforce announced on Mar. 25 that it has been named a leader in The Forrester Wave: Industry Cloud Solutions For Public Sector, Q1 2026. The company received the highest possible scores in several criteria, including vision, innovation, roadmap, partner ecosystem, and adoption.
This recognition is significant as it highlights Salesforce’s role in providing technology solutions to government agencies at national, state, and local levels. As public sector organizations continue to modernize their operations and service delivery through digital transformation initiatives, evaluations like these can influence decision-making for technology procurement.
The Forrester report gave Salesforce the highest scores among all providers evaluated in both current offering and strategy categories. According to the evaluation summary released by Salesforce, its composable AI-native industry cloud unites program data, casework management, and citizen engagement on a single platform. Through its Missionforce product line, Salesforce offers dedicated data models and prebuilt solutions tailored for licensing processes, benefits administration, grants management, investigations handling, and contact center operations.
Customer feedback cited by Salesforce noted “on-time delivery and responsive support,” with government customers stating they would “enthusiastically select Salesforce again.” The company’s partner network was also described as unmatched in extending platform capabilities into specialized operational areas.
Kendall Collins, CEO of Missionforce & Government Cloud at Salesforce said: “Through Missionforce we are empowering organizations across the full spectrum of government — civilian defense and intelligence — to operate with greater agility resilience productivity and measurable impact in an increasingly dynamic world.” Collins added: “AI is redefining the speed scale and automation of modern government missions — from delivering critical citizen services to advancing national defense and security. Agencies can’t rely on bolted-on tools or fragmented systems; they need unified trusted platforms where AI data security and interoperability are built in from day one. This recognition affirms for us Salesforce’s leadership in public sector solutions delivering proven private sector innovation at mission scale.”
According to the report itself: “Salesforce is best for national and state jurisdictions pursuing customer-centric service delivery or whole-of-jurisdiction digital government modernization; it’s also viable for local governments willing to treat Salesforce as a strategic transformation partner and take an enterprisewide approach.”
Forrester clarified that it does not endorse any company or product included in its research publications.
