Georgetown falls to Drexel 9-1 in NCAA Division I softball; Marina Egbert pitches 1.1 innings

Former St. Ignatius College Preparatory School athlete Marina Egbert and her current college team, the Georgetown Hoyas, suffered a 9-1 defeat to the Drexel Dragons in their NCAA Division I softball game on Saturday, Feb. 28, at 3:30 p.m.

Washington Nationals Youth Academy hosted the contest. This marked their second game this season against the Dragons. In a previous matchup on Saturday, Feb. 28, the Hoyas defeated Drexel 8-0.

Egbert pitched 1.1 innings, giving up four earned runs and walking two batters.

The Hoyas are set to play the Drexel Dragons again on Sunday, March 1, at 12 p.m. at Washington Nationals Youth Academy.
