Former Lowell High School standout Finean Hunter-Kenney contributed to the Chapman Panthers’ 9-0 victory over the Whittier Poets in their NCAA Division III baseball matchup held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 14.
Hosted at Hugh B. Mendez Stadium, Saturday’s game marked the third time this season the two teams had met. In the previous contest that same day, the Panthers fell to the Poets with a 3-2 loss.
Hunter-Kenney pitched two innings during the win, tallying two strikeouts.
The Panthers will face the Willamette Bearcats next on Saturday, March 21, in an 11 a.m. matchup at W.O. Hart Park.
