On Saturday, Nov. 22, Michael Estrada, a former standout at Archbishop Riordan High School, saw his current college team, the Virginia Union Panthers, fall 27-24 to the California Vulcans in the NCAA Division II Football Championship.

The contest was held at Hovey Field at 1 p.m., marking the first tournament meeting between Virginia Union and the California Vulcans.
